SILK THREADS
There are two kinds of silk thread, staple spun and filament.
Filament silk is what it says.
The continuous filament lengths are spun together to make a usable thread.
To produce staple spun silk the filament is chopped up into staple lengths before spinning.

on size 20(0.9mm) needles, 9st and 12 rows measure 1 cm
on size 21(0.8mm) needles, 10sts and 14 rows measure 1 cm
