AN OVERVIEW


A fibre is a fine, thread-like, short strand of raw material
All textile fabrics are composed of this raw material
A yarn is produced when a number of fibres are twisted (spun) together to make a continuous length
Two or more of these twisted lengths (ends) are then twisted together to make
a plied yarn with added strength and bulk

FIBRES CAN BE NATURAL OR MAN MADE
